This piece, a jewelry cabinet done for my fashion-designer wife, was inspired by the supple, sinuous geometry of draped fabric. Looking back to Renaissance sculptors but utilizing modern tools such like parametric design and CNC fabrication, the doors are transformed from a mere planar expression to a sculpted, soft surface.
