(Public) Space in the Sky
The competition brief for this project asked participants to re-imagine the skyway. This project seeks to transform skyways from mere tunnels of passage to actual public space, loaded with various programmatic functions. Here, the skyway becomes the armature for an interchangeable platform, which can be pre-fabricated off site and hoisted into place with an integrated crane. The skyway then becomes a "host" for various pop-up programs, which are easily interchangable and highly diverse, ranging from a sky garden to a pop-up cafe to a silent discotheque.
